Brief talk about myself ;)

Okiee, here we are.. Firstly, I would like to talk a little bit about myself.. Quite simple and short.. I am Verina but y'all can call me Veve since it's more convenient and easier to remember ;) I am a third year university student, majoring in B.Sc(Hons) Food Science and Nutrition at UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur. It's quite fun studying about this major since I can learn many new things from this field of study that related to human's health which I believe it's one of the important things that we should know to have a healthy life. I love to learn new things to enrich my knowledge and to improve my understanding about anything that maybe I would say I am not good at or I don't know. So yeah, here I am ;) This blog is all about high technology nowadays since what is around us nowadays is all about technology. We can't run from this. Thus, we should familiar with all these more or less :) So, lets enjoy any informations from my blog ^^

Web 2.0

Web 2.0 site allows users to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as consumers of user-generated content in a virtual community, in contrast to websites where users (prosumers) are limited to the active viewing of content that they created and controlled. Examples of web 2.0 include social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, mashups and folksonomies.

Advantages of Web 2.0 :

  • With Web 2.0, information can be pulled from a number of different places
  • Allow the mass population to interact and communicate with each other and spread their ideas
  • Obtain information from multiple sources
  • Web 2.0 will make the internet more personalized 
  • Information will flow freely, and people can express their ideas without fear of repression
  • Web 2.0 would make the Internet a true democratic system, a digital democracy

Ever heard about "ANDROID" ???

Well, it is an operating system (OS) which is trying to beat Apple OS and booming nowadays..
It is introduced by Google company and keep updating its grade from Android 1.0 up to Android 2.3 
The forthcoming version is Android 3.0

First version of Android which is Android 1.0 was released on 23 September 2008 and the latest one (Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" SDK) was released on 6 December 2010.

The changes implemented to Android 2.3 are as follow:
  1. Updated user interface design
  2. Support for extra-large screen sizes and resolutions (WXGA and higher)
  3. Native support for SIP VoIP telephony
  4. Support for WebM/VP8 video playback, and AAC audio encoding
  5. New audio effects such as reverb, equalization, headphone virtualization, and bass boost
  6. Support for Near Field Communication
  7. System-wide copy–paste functionalities
  8. Redesigned multi-touch software keyboard
  9. Enhanced support for native code development
  10. Audio, graphical, and input enhancements for game developers
  11. Concurrent garbage collection for increased performance
  12. Native support for more sensors (such as gyroscopes and barometers)
  13. A download manager for long running downloads
  14. Improved power management and application control
  15. Native support for multiple cameras
  16. Switched from YAFFS to the ext4 filesystem

Android is programmed using either C, C++, or Java programming. However, most of it is programmed by using Java code. The source model is free and open source software. Android is mostly used in mobile devices but some electronic appliances such as microwave is also programmed using Android.

The iPad is an Apple tablet computer. It is a modification of computer that is users friendly and portable. One of this iPad privileges is to enable the users to experience a new technology of touch screen tablet computer. Magnetic pen is also provided to make it easier to be used. Another benefits of using iPad are :

THIN and LIGHT
The screen is 9.7 inches measured diagonally. At just 1.5 pounds and 0.5 inch thin, can be used anywhere since it is portable. And a slight curve to the back makes it easy to pick up and comfortable to hold.

Up to 10 HOURS of BATTERY LIFE
Lithium-polymer battery technology is used to maximize battery life up to 10 hours while surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching videos, or listening to music. While surfing the web on a 3G data network, you can get up to 9 hours of battery life.

WIRELESS
iPad takes advantage of the fastest Wi-Fi networks. It automatically locates available Wi-Fi networks, which you can join with a few taps. iPad also comes with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, letting you connect to devices like wireless headphones or the Apple Wireless Keyboard.

3G
iPad is also available in a 3G model with superfast data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. So if you’re traveling or you happen to be somewhere without a Wi-Fi network, you can still get a fast connection for surfing the web, downloading email, or getting directions.


Some of the features of iPad Apple are mail, photos, videos, maps, calendar, notes, music, contacts, games, and some of others additional features that can be downloaded.
